The CHA Project’s many proposed design interventions include food streets, night markets, plazas, garbage solutions etc. The Doonya prototype has been conceived and developed as a viable solution to the problem of informal settlements Kolkata Cheenapara. The CHA Project’s proposed plan for food streets and night markets cannot be implemented unless we find a solution for the slums in the area and so, after several years of planning, research, surveys and design iterations, Doonya was developed.
